The Johnny Folsom 4 - Johnny Cash Tribute Band!

The Clarksville Fine Arts Center is thrilled to welcome back the Folsom 4 on February 8th @ 7:30pm!

From A Boy Named Sue to Ring of Fire, the Johnny Folsom 4 pays tribute to the legendary Man in Black.

Lead singer David Burney brings a lilting southern baritone to Cash’s classic songs which hits the mark well enough that you will wonder if Johnny, himself, is in the building. David Gresham more than meets the challenge of filling in for Luther and Carl Perkins on those classic guitar licks. And Steve Eisenstadt (bass) and Randy Benefield (drums) provide the hallmark, train-like driving rhythm the whole world loves.

True to the Mr. Cash’s poetic spirit, JF4 promises an honest and entertaining performance for fans of all ages.

Here’s what people are saying:

“For those of us unable to have seen Cash perform during his life, this is more than a treat. It’s a time machine.”

~ NO DEPRESSION Magazine :: The Roots Music Authority

“The real deal” ~ Providence Journal

“I loved every minute of it. It was so believable I thought I was listening to Johnny Cash."

~ Susan Nash, Cultural Center of Cape Cod

“There is no one on the planet who can better bring the heart and soul of Johnny Cash to the stage than David Burney and Johnny Folsom 4.”

~ Rebecca Newton, CEO, Carolina Theatre of Durham

“A peerless tribute band to the late, great Johnny Cash.” ~ David Menconi, Raleigh News & Observer

“David not only sounds like the great Johnny Cash, he has the stance, the movement, the style of playing the guitar high on the neck, and the big presence and attitude. He channels JR!"

~ Jackie Cash (Johnny Cash’s niece)

When it comes to honoring Johnny Cash, JF4 walks the line.

The Hallelujah Girls

Hilarity abounds when the feisty females of Eden Falls, Georgia, decide to shake up their lives. The action in this rollicking Southern comedy takes place in SPA-DEE-DAH!, the abandoned church-turned-day-spa where this group of friends gathers every Friday afternoon. After the loss of a dear friend, the women realize time is precious, and if they’re going to change their lives and achieve their dreams, they have to get on it now! But Sugar Lee, their high-spirited, determined leader, has her hands full keeping the women motivated. Carlene’s given up on romance, having buried three husbands. Nita’s a nervous wreck from running interference between her problematic son and his probation officer. Mavis’ marriage is so stagnant she’s wondering how she can fake her own death to get out of it. And sweet, simple Crystal entertains them all, singing Christmas carols with her own hilarious lyrics. The comic tension mounts when a sexy ex-boyfriend shows up unexpectedly, a marriage proposal comes from an unlikely suitor and Sugar Lee’s archrival vows she’ll stop at nothing to steal the spa away from her. By the time the women rally together to overcome these obstacles and launch their new, improved lives, you’ve got a side-splitting, joyful comedy that will make you laugh out loud and shout “Hallelujah!"mingling.

CHRISTMAS BELLES-Southern Comedy by Jones Hope Wooten

    The Futrelle Sisters

    Rhonda Lynn & Raynard

    The Futrelle Sisters

A church Christmas program spins hilariously out of control in this Southern farce about squabbling sisters, family secrets, a surly Santa, a vengeful sheep and a reluctant Elvis impersonator.

It's Christmas-time in the small town of Fayro, Texas, and the Futrelle Sisters—Frankie, Twink and Honey Raye—are not exactly in a festive mood. A cranky Frankie is weeks overdue with her second set of twins. Twink, recently jilted and bitter about it, is in jail for inadvertently burning down half the town. And hot-flash-suffering Honey Raye is desperately trying to keep the Tabernacle of the Lamb's Christmas Program from spiraling into chaos.

    Miss Geneva

    The Futrelle Sisters

But things are not looking too promising: Miss Geneva, the ousted director of the previous twenty-seven productions, is ruthless in her attempts to take over the show. The celebrity guest Santa Claus—played by Frankie's long-suffering husband, Dub—is passing a kidney stone. One of the shepherds refuses to watch over his flock by night without pulling his little red wagon behind him. And the entire cast is dropping like flies due to food poisoning from the Band Boosters' Pancake Supper.

And when Frankie lets slip a family secret that has been carefully guarded for decades, all hope for a successful Christmas program seems lost, even with an Elvis impersonator at the manger. But in true Futrelle fashion, the feuding sisters find a way to pull together in order to present a Christmas program the citizens of Fayro will never forget. Their hilarious holiday journey through a misadventure-filled Christmas Eve is guaranteed to bring joy to your world!

Are you a big fan of live theater? But...you'd rather repeatedly slam your foot in a door than actually ever step on stage?!?  If so, the Clarksville Fine Arts Center STILL needs YOU !!

We cordially invite you to join us at the theater on Saturday, March 8th at 1:00 -  4:30 pm for the 2nd in our series of FREE theater Educational Workshops made possible in part by the Dominion Arts Foundation.

This second workshop, titled “Behind the Scenes” and taught by Melissa Panos Carney,  will explore the bulk of what is known as ‘Stagecraft’, a technical term for all that must happen off stage so that a show can go on ! These many and varied roles are crucial and often require very different skill sets than stage acting, singing and dancing. Whether you desire to just add to your theater knowledge base or become an integral member of the Clarksville Community Players, we would love for you to come join us this Saturday!

Our instructor, Melissa Panos Carney, a Clarksville resident for over a decade, brings with her to this Workshop an extensive amount of theater experience both onstage, offstage and everything in between! As the current Artistic Director at Ovations Studios in Bethesda, Maryland, she and her husband, Marc, and their daughter, Emme, have also been pouring their time and talents into the Fine Arts Center since their relocation here.

Originally hailing from Park City, Utah, Melissa holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts & Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and holds a graduate certificate in Arts Administration also from UMASS. As a classically trained dancer, Melissa has performed with multiple ballet companies across the United States and Europe including Ballet West, Eugene Ballet, Ballet Idaho, Ballet Long Island, Pirouettes, Utah Regional Ballet, and Central Florida Ballet. She has held contracts with Cunard, Norwegian Cruise Lines, and Disney. Melissa received her dance training at the Ballet West Conservatory as a scholarship student under William F. Christensen (founder of Ballet West and San Francisco Ballet). As an actress, Melissa has performed with the Egyptian Theatre Company, Disney’s STAGE, and The Noorda Black Box Theatre Company - just to name a few. Additionally, she has worked in film and television appearing in productions such as Netflix’s House of Cards, NBC’s Do No Harm, and the feature film Jackie.

Most days, Melissa can be found working behind the scenes in the theatrical world as a Producer, Stage Manager, Costume Designer and Choreographer.

You won't want to miss joining us Saturday, March 8th! Whether you desire to just add to your theater knowledge base or become an integral member of the Clarksville Community Players, or something in between, we would LOVE to meet you!

Comedian/Juggler Mark Nizer Hits the Stage

The phrase "Nothing Less Than Brilliant" (Performance Magazine) has been used to describe the outrageous comedy antics and expertly crafted juggling feats of Mark Nizer!

He is scheduled to perform at Clarksville Fine Arts Center on March 14th, 2026, at 7:30PM.

Mark Nizer is one of the greatest entertainment comedians and jugglers performing today. His wild exploits have landed him on MTV, HBO’s Just for Laughs, Arsenio Hall, Bob Hope and Other Young Comedians, Comic Strip Live and LA Law.

He has opened for Jerry Seinfeld, Bob Hope, George Burns, John Byner, Gladys Knight, The Temptations, Johnny Mathis, Ray Charles, and Barry Manilow. The late Bob Hope said, "He just keeps getting better and I didn’t think that was possible."

Making the impossible possible and the improbable probable, Mark Nizer has taken his one man show to a variety of venues around the world, including The Improv, The Comedy Store, Walt Disney World, numerous college campuses, and all major cruise lines.

He has also performed in thousands of opera houses, civic centers, festivals and performing arts centers including the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (three times). Entertainment Magazine states, "Without a doubt the hottest juggler on the entertainment market, Mark Nizer is simply incredible."

Don’t miss the combination of original comedy, world class juggling, movement, music and technology that promises a spellbinding evening. Whether juggling laser beams at 1000 rpms, or five ping pong balls being thrown 20 feet in the air using only his mouth; or even juggling a burning propane tank, a running electric carving knife and a 16-pound bowling ball, you'll discover for yourself that Mark Nizer is truly "the juggler your mother warned you about." Or if she didn't, she should have. Reservations may be obtained by simply scrolling down to the bottom of this page, or clicking on our 'Tickets' tab at the top of the screen :)
